The over 100,000 m² platform developed by Factor’Industry Real Estate and Stonehedge on behalf of GLP in Ablaincourt-Pressoir, in Somme, will accommodate Intermarché in 2023.
The brand has signed a lease for an area of approximately 63,000 m². Several advanced negotiations are already underway regarding the lease of the remaining areas of this speculative development, namely approximately 38,000 m², as explained in a press release dated November 30.
“We are delighted that Intermarché has signed this agreement, which validates our decision to support Factor’Industry Real Estate and Stonehedge as investors,” comments Philippe Graziani, France Director of GLP.
Developed with the Franc Architectures group, this real estate complex offers a contemporary, sleek design. It will benefit from Full LED lighting technology, a Breeam Very Good certification, and the installation of an 8 MWp photovoltaic power plant, “which will be the largest ever installed on a rooftop in France”, note the project developers.
For Julien Mongoin, co-founder of FIRE, “this project attracted Intermarché due to its strategic location in the heart of the Hauts-de-France region and its high architectural, landscape, and environmental quality. Beyond the expertise and know-how of Fire and Stonehedge, it is the sharing of an ethical code focused on a more sustainable energy future that allowed us to design this large-scale project, as well as the continuous attention paid to the comfort and safety of the future occupants of this building.”
In the context of this lease agreement, the parties were advised by Arthur Loyd Logistique. Fire, Stonehedge, and GLP were advised by DLA Piper and Archers.
